Toys N Things SoM Pre-Launch

DanversGM writes "Toys is having two Win a Box events for the Scars of Mirrodin prerelease weekend 09/25-09/26. Both tournaments are six pack sealed deck and have a $30 entry fee. Pizza will be provided to players in each box tournament.
We are again having our popular Midnight Madness Win a Scars Box Tournament. The event starts at 12:05AM (9/25) Saturday morning (or after we finish our regular FNM) and goes until we cut to Top 8. Our past midnight pre-releases have had over 40 people, so we have expanded our seating to handle up to fifty players.
The Saturday Win a Scars Box Tournament starts at 3:00PM (9/26)Saturday afternoon.
Prize Structure for both tournaments:
If we get at least ten(10) players the tournament winner wins an Scars box.
If we reach fifteen(15) players first place wins one M11 box and second place wins half an M11 box (18 packs)
If we get eighteen(18) players Toys will add a third place winner who will receive nine (9) M11 packs
If we make twenty(20) players we'll add a fourth place winner who will get five(5) packs.
More prizes will be added if we get more than twenty players. If we reach forty or more players another entire Scars box will be added to the pool.
In addition to the two main tournaments we will be running Booster drafts ($15 for three packs) on Saturday and Sunday.
Toys has started accepting preorders for the new Scars of Mirrodin set. Price is $92 per box ($90 if you order three or more) and $27 for a Fat Pack.
Prepayment is welcome but not required. All preorders must be paid for when they are picked up on Oct 1st. Product not paid for by Oct 1st becomes available for sale on Oct 3rd. Those who preorder their Scars boxes get the WotC "Buy a Box" promotion foil card before those who buy boxes at the Launch.

Toys N Things TCG Championship Qualifier Seot 12th
|

DanversGM writes "Toys is hosting our first TCG Championship Series Qualifier tournament on Sunday Sept 12th. Winner of the TCG-Q receives 20 points needed to enter the TCGplayer.com Championship Series held at upcoming Wizard World Comic Cons, and up to $300 in travel reimbursement from Toys.
Second through ninth place finishers also receive points that can help reach the 20 points they need to enter the Championship series. In addition to Championship points there will be a prize pool of either M11 packs or store credit based on the number players in the tournament.
Entry is $25 and the deck lists are required. Tournament starts promptly at 1PM, but registration and deck checks will begin at noon. As is custom at Toys pizza will be provided to all tournament players.

Toys N Things M11 Box or Relics Pauper Tournament

DanversGM writes "Toys is holding our 3rd Pauper Tournament Saturday Sept 4th starting at 30PM. Entry is $15 and the format is Standard Pauper.
If we get eight players the prize is a Box of M11. If we get 16 players the second prize is a From the Vault:Relics box. The first place winner gets to choose which prize she wants. Another full M11 box will be added to the pool for every eight players we get over sixteen.
If we don't get a full eight packs will be added that represent the percentage of a box (two players is nine packs, four is 18, etc).
As of Monday Aug 30th we are accepting pre-orders for Scars of Mirrodin boxes and Fat Packs. Pre-order price is $92 for boxes and $27 for Fat Packs.
Prepayment is appreciated, but not required. You do need to sign up in the store and pick up you purchase on Oct 1st Launch Day.

DanversGM writes "Now being a Premier Store Toys N Things will be holding two prelease events for the M11 pre-release weekend (07/10-07/11).To celebrate the new M11 set we will hold not one but two Win a M11 Box tournaments. Both tournaments are six pack sealed deck and have a $30 entry fee.

Weekend in the Realms Event at Toys N Things

DanversGM writes "Toys N Things is hosting its second game day. Come play D&D 4.0 in the Forgotten Realms all weekend during the first weekend in November. The first adventure starts Friday Nov 6th at 6PM and goes right through until Sunday afternoon. Can't play the whole weekend? No problem. Each adventure is stand alone so you can play as many or as few as you like. Bring your own character to play or use one of several pregenerated characters available during the weekend.
