Toys N Things Warhammer 8th Edition Launch Weekend July 9th though 11th
|
|
DanversGM writes "To celebrate the release of the new Warhammer 8th Edition rule book Toys N Things will be holding a series of events from July 9th to the 11th. These events are part of the GW sponsored 8th Edition Launch Weekend going on across the country.
The Launch Weekend features a series of small battles called the Trial By Fire, which lead up to a huge mega battle called the Winds of Change on Sunday. The Trial By Fire battles start Friday Night at 9PM and again at 1PM on Saturday. Each battle pits two 500 point armies against each other using the new 8th edition rules.
The Winds of Change mega battle starts at noon on Sunday. Anyone with a 500 point Warhammer army can take part. If need be both tables will be used in the mega battle with the winners of each table then fighting each other in a final showdown.
Winners of both Trial by Fire and Winds of Change receive $50 worth of GW product from Toys N Things. Specific rules will be posted as soon as they are available.
Please post or PM me with any questions.
Thanks,
Evan J.

Qualifier Tournament May 15th at Toys N Things
|
|
danversgm writes "Tournament starts at 10:30AM May 15th. Each player will participate in three (3) games over the course of the day. In each game you will play a scenario and record the outcome of the battle on your result sheet. Players are limited to no more than 2,500 points when selecting their army.
There is no entry fee for the event, however you must register on the GW Online Store - This is necessary to receive prize support in the Semi Final rounds onward as GW is awarding Online Store vouchers to the winners. If you are not registered you will not receive prizes! You also need to sign up at the store and provide at least three copies of your army list at the event.
The top three finishers will be asked to attend the Regional ‘Ard Boyz semi-finals on June 12th, but there are no prizes for best painted. So bring your unpainted units if you want to use them. ‘Ard Boyz tournaments are all about commanding large armies and doing your best to blast your opponent to bits. so looking pretty ain't that important.
Post or PM me for a full copy of Da Rulzs
